I have watched this video many times. Unfortunately the cell phone cam, or whatever device you used, does not help in this case.
This is certainly not a wild boar like many have claimed from the research I have read. It is however, in my humble opinion, a Black Bear.
What you are mistaking for a long black tail, is not even attached to the animal. To me, it appears to be nothing more than a curled branch/log, and at the angle this was shot, gives the perception of a tail. This is a perfect example of matrixing, where our eyes and mind trick one another into believing we are seeing something out of nothing.
I really was hoping you caught a true black panther. On his word, my father claims over 30 years ago he saw one in the mountains of Western Maryland. He was deer hunting very early one morning, it was still dark, and he saw a dark outline of a large cat prowl across the top of this cliff. Moments later, this black panther crept right past him. My father said he had never been so scared in his life, but the cat never bothered him, and just kept going.
This was on acres and acres of property his family owns, and that particular section in the mountain was never named. So my father gave it the name, Panther Run. Still to this day he swares that is what he saw.
